About Janet

Welcome to Psychology One-to-One. I am an experienced, dedicated and compassionate clinical psychologist and have 25 years of experience working with people who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, trauma and relationship difficulties.

I worked for many years offering psychological therapy across a variety of settings and I have now been working in private practice since 2018. I have developed a respected and established service where i help people across Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the North East.

Compassion is at the heart of who I am, how I work and why I do the work I do.

I’ve supported many people through therapy over the years and have helped them to move forward from adversity, trauma and debilitating symptoms. Please get in touch to see how I can help you.

Psychology

Psychotherapists are mental health professionals who are trained to listen to a person’s problems to help to find out what’s causing them and work to find a solution. As well as listening and discussing important issues with you, a psychotherapist can suggest strategies for resolving problems and, if necessary, help you change your attitudes and behaviour.
