As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of psychotherapeutic approaches to create a way of working that’s tailor-made to suit you. I work with both individuals and couples.
I believe that there’s a real power in understanding and owning your story. We find that through dialogue, both within ourselves and with others—that’s how the supportive environment and secure relationship of therapy can help.
I’ve always been driven to learn more about the human condition and understand different ways of seeing the world; in my earlier career as an anthropologist, I moved to Yemen to learn Arabic, and then to Zanzibar to do PhD research on gender dynamics on the Swahili coast. I also have a deep interest in existential philosophy, Eastern contemplative traditions, and meditation.
Through therapy, you can identify patterns of behaviour that no longer serve you and learn to flourish in the here and now. My aim is to help you overcome your challenges and reconnect to life with authenticity, compassion, and humour.
I offer sessions in person or online, and work with both short-term and long-term clients.
My practice is trauma informed, and incorporates approaches such as Transactional Analysis, Internal Family Systems (IFS), existential therapy, attachment theory, and mindfulness.
If you’re facing challenges in your relationship, I can support you in working through them and deepening your connection.
I work with couples on issues such as:
- Improving communication, exploring attachment styles, and reconnecting
- Letting go of negative patterns and bringing positive new energy to your relationship
- Moving forward after infidelity
- Addressing issues in your sex life
- Navigating non-monogamy
- Negotiating separation and ending a relationship with kindness
- Relationship issues
- Life transitions
- Grief and loss
- Depression and low mood
- Anxiety
- Stress and burnout
