Dorothy Collinson is a sports injury specialist with 20 years experience in her field. She incorporates sports and remedial massage with rehabilitation and exercise for a fast recovery. Her treatments are beneficial for for all soft tissue conditions, from sports, accident or injury.
I taught fitness classes, personal training and swimming coaching for 10 years.
It was a natural progression to want to study the injury side of sport and 25 years ago I qualified as a clinical sports therapist from Newcastle college. My training included, sports massage, rehabilitation and ongoing maintenance treatment to stay injury free. Later I studied kinesiotaping, which I find complements my treatment and speeds up results.
I still enjoy tennis and play regularly in a league, sport always has and still is a big part of my life.
I am based at Urban Angel Therapy Centre, Old Fire Station Gosforth.
