Hi, I’m Alison. I trained as a neurodevelopmental therapist with INPP after searching for help for my adopted son, who was having emotional and behavioural challenges at home and school. After lots of research, I discovered a drug-free, movement-based programme that focused on integrating primitive reflexes, and it really made sense to me.
We worked with a therapist and followed the programme for a year, and the changes in my son were incredible. He went from the school calling me daily about his behaviour to his teacher asking at parents’ evening what we had done because he had become so much calmer and was no longer shouting out in class. He even won “Best Behaved” at his football camp because his behaviour had improved so much.
Seeing these changes inspired me to train with INPP myself, which is considered the gold standard qualification in this field. The training includes supervision and standardised testing to ensure every child receives a high-quality assessment and programme. After seeing the difference it made for my son, I felt passionate about sharing this approach with other parents whose children may also be struggling.
By creating an individual movement programme, I help children develop and mature their nervous system, strengthening the foundations they need for everyday life. This support helps them cope better with challenges and reach their full potential. By the end of the programme, parents often see happier, more resilient children who are better able to learn and enjoy activities like sports.
I have an interest in working with adopted and looked after children due to my lived experiences with my son.
