Johanna has 15 years experience in both kinesiology and massage and can help you move better to feel better.
My Therapeutic (ITEC) and Holistic qualification were with the highly respected Bavara and Lolit Massage school in Edinburgh. I took further courses in deep tissue and remedial massage in the Holos School of massage in London. Later I studied orthopaedic/clinical massage under James Waslaski. I have also studied with Aubrey Gowing delivering Erik Dalton’s Myoskeletal work and with James Earls. I am enrolled in Mike Reynold’s Inner circle mentoring programme to continuously enhance my knowledge and keep my practice up to date.
I am fully insured and a member of Complementary Therapists’ Association CThA.
I qualified as a professional practitioner at two schools of Kinesiology: Creative and Holistic. I am registered as Advanced Kinesiology Federation Registered Practitioner (AKFRP), with the Kinesiology Federation, the professional unifying organisation for Kinesiology Practitioners.
When not working, I like to spend time with my family, grow vegetables and flowers in my allotment garden. I also sew all sorts of stuff. I exercise for joy and health, sometimes scaring crows by jogging early in the morning!
How Johanna Can Help You
Having problems lifting your arms up all the way? Neck and shoulders stiff and aching? Hips stiff and painful? Back aching? Knees sore? Wrists or elbows giving you grief?
Putting on weight, which doesn’t want to go away? Low energy? Mood swings? Digestive problems? Food sensitivities and allergies? Autoimmune symptoms? Aches and pains? Emotional issues?
Kinesiology is the scientific study of human or non-human body movement. Kinesiology addresses physiological, biomechanical, and psychological dynamic principles and mechanisms of movement.
Johanna is passionate about helping you to feel better and move better. Working with physical aspects of your body mainly with massage and also with Kinesiology to allow your body to work optimally in your circumstances
Many of Johanna’s clients come to her with a specific pain, often in lower back or neck and shoulders, but also in knees, wrists and feet. Her work focuses on working on all layers of soft tissue and the bones to achieve alignment of the joints. This allows them to move freely and painlessly. The treatment itself is painless.
I offer nutritional guidance using Kinesiology as my tool to help people to understand what their bodies need. All our bodies are unique, so similar symptoms may have different root causes. I have helped many people to achieve wellbeing by guiding them in balancing their gut biome. I work also with emotional issues and trauma in my Kinesiology practise. The beauty of Kinesiology is that it gives us access to your body’s requirements, be it nutritional, emotional or physical.
